NItaya Walker, founder and Director of marketing

Nitaya Walker, 25, is an Entrepreneur and upcoming Fashion Professional. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Luxury and Fashion Management. Her inspiration for Blk Girl Narrative was derived from her personal experiences managing her mental health and from the stories that her friends shared with her about their struggles.

“One day I asked God what was the purpose of the things that I had been through mentally and his answer to me was “To be a testimony to others.” At that moment, I knew that I had a duty to fulfill and that Blk Girl Narrative was necessary. This is where I gained my confidence to share my ideas for Blk Girl Narrative with the world.”

No longer will depression, confusion, and past traumas be an obstacle for women to suffer in silence. It’s time for proper healing to take place. Mental health affects everyone, as a society we are constantly influencing each other. Blk Girl Narrative is an essential community that will encourage others to seek the appropriate support for their personal mental health journeys.”
